33 weeks

Well I heard from my doctor's office today about my thyroid test and it came back negative. They still want me to go to my cardiology appointment to see if it's anything underlying so I'll keep everyone informed. I haven't had an episode since last Friday so we'll see.

Ava's doing well. Still moving and shaking! :-) I've lost my appetite the past couple of days, just haven't been very hungry at dinner time. Don't know what all that means.

Anyways, here are some recent pictures of Jack. My favorite is his smile while Scott is mowing the lawn! Here he is with Uncle Matie at his first Rangers game and running through the sprinklers! Enjoy!

32 Week doctor's appt

Had my appointment this morning and got some good news and some not so good news. The good news is she is head down and will unlikely turn breech. I asked the doctor is he could tell that I had dropped and he did some palpations on my lower pelvic area and said that he felt her head way low meaning she's dropped into the pelvis. Yeah! With Jackson he dropped at 36 weeks and was born two weeks later! Hopefully she stays in there a little longer than two more weeks! 34 weeks is still too early! :-)

I mentioned that a couple of days ago that I got out of breath and my heart was racing while I was just sitting at the kitchen table. I told him I had noticed being out of breath when doing something like walking or vacuuming but not just sitting there. This isn't the first time it has happened either. He was concerned and made me do blood work to see if it was my thyroid. He told me if it happened again that I needed to call him immediately and he would send me to a cardiologist. He said it could be supraventricular tachycardia. He said it can happen during pregnancy and some women have it even before pregnancy. He told me not to worry, it in no way affects the baby. The most that would happen is that I would have to wear a heart monitor and be on some medication. Hopefully this isn't the case and everything will be fine. I'll keep everyone updated on this but no worries!

That's all for now.

32 Weeks!

I've made it to 32 weeks today. Still not many changes. She is still rolling all over the place in there. I have to go to the bathroom like three times a night because I think she has dropped so she is putting a lot of pressure on my bladder! At 34 weeks I'll pull out the exercise ball to try and get this girl to come early. I'm so ready for her to get here! I have a doctors appointment this Friday so I'll let everyone know how I'm doing then. I believe we have two more appointments one at 34 weeks and one at 36 weeks then we go to weekly visits. I know at 36 weeks we have our last ultrasound to take measurements and check her weight. I remember with Jackson once I started my internal exams it was two weeks later and he was born. They definitely brought on the contractions! That's all for now!

Jackson at the pool

Our neighborhood pool opened a couple of weekends ago so we took Jackson and he had so much fun! The water was freezing but that didn't seem to bother him. He was so brave jumping from the side of the kiddie pool to Scott. He also liked splashing mom!

Ava's baby shower

Here are some pics from the baby shower. We had a good turn out. It was great seeing family and just eating lots of food! Ava made out with some cute outfits and much needed baby necessities! Thanks to everyone who made it out and thank you all for the wonderful gifts.

The nursery is done!

After much stripping, sanding and painting the nursery is complete, (with the expection of some pictures I want to hang on the wall.) Here are some pics! I originally wanted to do a light pastel pink but fell in love with the hot pink and lime green I saw in a Pottery Barn Kids magazine and I stole the tree mural out of the magazine as well. (I drew it and Scott painted it). This way she can keep the bedding for a while and I won't have to redo her room like we're doing with Jackson's room now. (We got rid of all of his baby bedding and are doing navy blues and reds.) Hopefully she comes out a girl because I am NOT redoing this room! :-)

Working on the nursery

Here are some pictures of Scott and Jackson working on putting together Ava's crib.

30 weeks!

Ok, Jackson was born at exactly 38 weeks so if she's a good baby like Jackson she'll be here in 8 weeks! :-) Wow, that's coming up fast!!! No changes really. I have a doctor's appointment Friday morning so I will post again then. I don't think my internal exams start until I am 34 or 36 weeks.

Anyways, I'll update tomorrow.

My buddy Casey

Yummy snack

Jackson was feeding himself yogurt and it was just too cute not to take a picture of.

Workin in the yard

These pictures are too funny. Jackson was just lounging in the wheel barrow while Scott drove him around the yard.

What a good helper

Here is a picture of Jackson helping Scott make biscuits. By the time they were ready he was covered in flour!

Third Trimester!!! UPDATE

I received a call from my Dr's office yesterday letting me know I passed my glucose test. I was so worried since I've been craving sweets with this little girl! :-)

I'm now 27 weeks!!!! I've made it to the third trimester! I had my doctor's appointment last Friday and took my glucose test. I should find out if I passed or not this week. My doctor said that my placenta previa is no longer an issue and he is not concerned about it. He also wants to see me every two weeks now! It's getting closer!!! I'm so ready for her to get here, but not too soon! I'm so uncomfortable and I'm tired of gaining weight!!!! :-) At my appointment I was 133!!! With Jackson, I was 139 at delivery! Eeek! She's making me fat! :-)

Anyways, that's my update!

Ice cream makes it all better!!!

Scott had Jackson in the laundry room with the lights off trying to scare me but ended up scaring Jackson instead! Mom had to make it all better by offering him some ice cream. It worked like a charm. Here are some pictures.

Mommy's Big Boy!

Well, last night a milestone was marked in the Samuel household. I decided out of the blue to take down Jackson's crib and put it in Ava's room. So, Jackson had to sleep in his big boy bed not only for his naps but through the night as well! I was so worried he might fall out of bed so I put pillows all around the front of the bed. He did so good! He cried around 11pm and I went to check on him and he was sitting up in bed but he was asleep. I layed him back down and he fell back to sleep. He didn't wake up again till morning. I was so proud of him! Hopefully he continues doing well!

More pics

Here are some more pics from the zoo. Jackson was a sleepy doo towards the end of the day and the last picture, I promise that's not a real beer! :-)

Visit with Grandpa Reyes, Teri and Aly

Here are some pictures from Easter. Grandpa, Teri and Alyson came to visit us last weekend. We took Jackson and Aly to the zoo. He had so much fun! He remembered all the animals from his books! He is so smart! The lion was making very loud noises and Jackson kept mimicking him. It was too funny!
