Jackson visits Jurassic Park!

A couple of weekends ago we took Jackson and Ava to The Heard Science Center in McKinney. It was a museum of dinosaurs, fossils, rocks, and other cool stuff. They even had an outside trail with dinosaurs that moved and made loud noises. He wasn't very interested at all. Then there was a dinosaur he could climb on at the end of the trail and he wanted to stay. Here are some

So, I've been taking the cutest pictures of the kids and I can't get this stupid website to dowload my pictures!!! So I've just decided to write about them instead. Hopefully it will start working soon and I can add these pics.

Halloween is getting close and we have all of our costumes ready! We are going to be the Flinestones, well, the Rubbles. Scott's mom made our costumes and they are too cute! Hopefully the weather will be tolerable because there is very little material! The weather is starting to get cooler so I might have to find tights for the kids. My aunt and uncle are coming to visit during Halloween so it should be a fun weekend. The next weekend Uncle Chris and Aunt Micah are coming to visit from Virginia. We will be doing a mud run that weekend as well. Can't wait!

Jackson has been putting his sentences together so well. When he learns a new word he will say that word and attach everyone's name he knows to it. Example....juice. He will say Jackson's juice, Ava's juice, Mommy's juice, Daddy's juice and so on. He will list everyone or every word he can think of. It's so cute!

A girlfriend of mine from Virginia, Clare, who also has a blog gave me a great idea. She started blogging about her favorite things as well as her cute little boy Bradley's favorite things. What a great idea to blog about so we will never forget all the cute things they were attached to as babies! So here it is, some of Jackson's favorite things!

1. Goldfish. He could eat these all day long if I let him!
2. Finding Nemo. This movie saves me when he has his meltdowns!
3. Showers with dad. No more baths for my little man. He loves using the shower squiggie, (sp)? to clean the walls.
4. Rocks. Does every little boy go through this stage? On our evening walks he will stop and look for any rock he can get his hands on and puts into his pocket. I have found many a rocks on the floor and in the washing machine!
5. Bread. This kid is addicted to bread! Luckily he has a fast metabolism! His fav? Nina's bread and cinammon bread.
6. Books. He will bring ALL and I mean all of his books from his bookshelf in his room to the living room for you to read. His fav's right now, Charlie Brown's Great Pumpkin and any Dr. Seuss book.
7. Coloring. He doesn't do much of coloring but loves to dump the colors on the floor and then put them back in the box. He will also put all the crayons in his toy trucks only to dump them out again! Fun for mom to clean up!

I'm sure there are more favorite things but I'll save for future postings!

Miss Ava has found her voice. The other day we were sitting down to dinner. Everyone was quiet eating their meals when Ava lets out a loud babble. It was so funny! She is using her vowels and sometimes scares herself at how loud she can be! She loves when Jack gets right in her face and talks to her. She will flash her 100 watt grin! I guess he hears everyone talking baby talk to her so he does the same thing! He will make this high pitch voice when he talks to her and she loves it! She is finally fitting into her 3 month clothes. I think she might be catching up though she still is a little peanut! I can't wait to get her some fall/winter clothes. Hopefully I'll be able to take the kids to get their pictures taken. I know everyone is dying to get some pics of the two of them together.

Thanks for your sweet comment!! I make the header and background myself and then edit my code. I'll be glad to make you one and edit your layout. Just send me some pictures and an idea what theme/colors you'd like.
