So you thought I would have learned from our Christmas portrait session that my children do not do well taking pictures. Since my mom was in town she wanted to take the kids to get their pictures taken. Sure, no problem. We'll just coordinate it around their nap times and feeding times. The first attempt was Saturday afternoon. After a couple trips to the store to coordinate their outfits and then to eat lunch we found ourselves short on time, as we had 20 mintues to get to the studio and we were about 40 minutes from getting the kids fed, changed and in the car. First attempt - failed. Second attempt Sunday early evening. So we made the appointment for 4pm. This way everyone would have had their naps for the day and had eaten lunch. Well we arrived and man did I forget how crazy studios are. Dozens of parents and grandparents all running around after their children trying to get them to stop crying and attempting to get the perfect picture. We were surprisingly rushed into the studio ahead of everyone else. How great it is to have a standing appointment! Ava was first up and she did amazingly well! We got some great shots of her. Jackson was a different story. He immediately started crying and wouldn't let go of his goldfish. We maybe got 2 or 3 shots out of 81 that were decent enough to keep. I was highly disappointed but what do you do? He's 2. We did get some great pictures but next time we go back they will be a little older. We'll just have to do with taking pictures at home!
