Halloween costume

Here Jackson is getting ready for Halloween. He is going to be a dragon! My mom bought him some Halloween sleepers so he is sporting them for you! One says "I want my Mummy" and the other has ghosts all over it and says "BOO" on his bottom!

Go Cowboys!

Here is Scott and mini Scott (Jackson) sporting their Cowboys gear! They were matching all the way down to their camo cargo pants! Jackson is supporting his favorite player Emmitt Smith. I just bought him his first Cowboys baseball hat to match Dad's! Now we're all set to watch some Sunday football. GO COWBOYS!!!!!!!

What a green thumb!

What a mess he made on the porch the other night. He got into my flower pot and went crazy with the soil, throwing it all over the place. Some even ended up in his mouth! Yuck!

10 months!

Can you believe he is already in the double digits! 10 months! Wow! Two more months and my sweet boy will be 1! He is doing so well. He's getting more brave walking around holding only one of our hands. He is learning to say "bye, bye", he says "thank you" and is still picking up on our everyday words and noises. He mimicks sneezes and whistling as well.

We're getting ready for Halloween too! He is going to be a fire blowing dragon! We got his costume in two weeks ago and I can't wait to put him in it! Hopefully it will be cold outside because it is a pretty warm costume.

We took him to the park the other day and he sat in the swing for a little while. He was too busy looking at the little girls to realize what he was doing! He liked the metal bars because they made so much noise! We went down the slide, still nothing. Too busy looking around at other things! :-)

Pumpkin Patch

We took Jackson to Carter Mountain Apple Orchard today. They have a festival every October and have lots of apples, cider and pumpkins! The weather was unseasonably hot so we didn't stay long. We managed to get a couple of pictures in the pumpkin patch though. They had hayrides through the orchards but the lines were way too long! We had a good time though. Here are some pics.

Scott used this Dr. Pepper bottle to smoke a chicken and Jackson thought it was fun to play with. He acted like it was a big baby bottle!

9 month check up

Well, we just had our 9 month check up. His weight is 18 pounds (10th percentile), height 29.5" (98th percentile), and head circumference (78th percentile) He is long and lean with a big noggin! Maybe he will be a runner like his mommy! He finally got over his cold from last week. We had to take him in Tuesday because his temp was 104! I immediately called the doctor and she told me to bring him in. Turns out he had an ear infection in his right ear. Poor baby. He was put on antibiotics and Friday he was back to his playful self. His fever lasted three days. He was on Motrin and Tylenol back to back every three hours. It was a miserable week but we got through it. Now he is playing and sleeping well at night. He now gives you a high five and is mimicking everything we do! It is quite funny. Some of the pics are from him and Scott watching the Cowboys game. (GO ROMO!) Scott gave him his entire bag of Cheerios. He looks like a little fat kid sitting on the couch! :-) The other is of him with my head band on. He thinks he's Rambo! He went digging through my purse going crazy throwing everything out of it and found it. He really liked wearing it. He kept it on forever!

9 months

Sorry I haven't posted in a while. Here are some pics of Jackson playing in his room. He is doing so well. Still crawling around everywhere. We're still learning how to walk. He moves from furniture to furniture so he's getting more brave!

He is saying Momma and Dadda and even imitates Casey snorting! He comes up with new noises everyday. He is playing great with the other babies. We are still learning how to share though! He's not so good at that! He does have the "Samuel" competitiveness though! When one of the other babies are crawling in front of him he thinks it is a race and starts crawling really fast to beat them! It is too funny. He does this on numerous occassions!

He is outgrowing his infant car seat so a convertible car seat is our next big purchase. His feet hit the back of the seat so it's time for an upgrade! Those things are not cheap!

Well hope everyone is doing well. Enjoy the pictures!

Jackson bungee jumping

I know it had to come sooner or later but Jackson had his first big "fall" on Friday morning. He fell out of his highchair and hit his little head. The table must not have been clicked properly (my fault) and he pushed it out and fell on the floor. I was so terrified. He started screaming and I picked him up off the floor. His forehead, between the eyes and nose were really red. Since he hit his head I took him in to see his pediatrician. She checked him over and reassured me he was fine and that this would not be the the last hard fall he would ever take. I felt so guilty! I cried all the way to the doctor! :-(

She said the most that would happen was he would have a headache or some bruising on his face and maybe even black eyes! Thankfully he didn't get any of that. He was back to playing the same day and this morning he had no more redness or even a bump on his head. He must have a head made of steel! Poor little guy. It was such a scary site.

Anyway, thought I would let everyone know.

Some more....

More pics at the beach!

Holden Beach, NC

Well we had an amazing time at the beach this past week. Other than Jackson catching a cold and us not getting any sleep we had a blast! The weather was perfect with not one rainy day! Jackson was a little hesitant about the water but by the end of the week he was playing in the sand and running in the water! The beginning of the week was tough. Jackson was a mess with his cold, separation anxiety kicked in full gear with lots of new faces and then a change in his schedule. He was a trooper though still out in the sand! He warmed up to everyone towards the end as well. Hopefully next time we see them all he will remember them! Here are some pictures of our week!

First cold

Well, Jackson finally got his first cold at 8 months. We went to the beach this past week and he caught one. I tried sanitizing his toys but it still found him! :-( It was a long week at the beach with his cold but he still had a great time! We were up all hours of the night with a runny nose but no fever. Thank goodness! Amazing how it happend on our vacation.
